Greetings! My husband and I are planning to head to Florida when I am on spring break from grad school for a little getaway March 19-22. We%26#39;re in our late 20s and I%26#39;ll be about 20 weeks pregnant when we take this trip. It will be our last pre-baby vacation and we are basically looking to avoid crazy spring break activities, enjoy great beaches and scenery, eat good food, and relax. We%26#39;re deciding between Siesta Key, Anna Maria Island, Marco Island, and Sanibel Island. I%26#39;ve done a little research, but I%26#39;m not terribly familiar with any of the aforementioned. Which one do you think would work best for us?
Siesta Key, Anna Maria Island, Marco Island, Sanibel Island?IMO Anna Maria Island would suit based on what you say.
No high rise buildings, no chain restaurants ( lots of good locally owned places to eat), no huge spring break crowds ( gets relatively busy during spring break but nowhere near as much as some places and not the rowdy crowd you get elsewhere),great beaches and friendly locals.Also no hotels as such ( there is one B%26amp;B) - lots of condos and houses to rent, some right on the beach.
