where to stay

Have you considered a villa or town house or there are suite resorts like floridays we need a bit more before we can help :)

where to stay

You will want a suite hotel with a seperate bedroom or two and a living area or a condo or villa.

Which parks/what will you be doing and will you be hiring a car?

suite hotel sounds good, any suggestions? we plan to do most of parks as i think it will be a one off holiday as it is so expensive. we will hire a car but would like to be near the theme parks. thanks

Try this,

My favourites in this hotel type are Staybridge Suites 1 or 2 bed suites with full kitchen in LBV, and Courtyard by marriot LBV one bed suites. Both are walking distance to restaurants/grocery/mini golf and a long walk or short cheap taxi to DTD. Both have breafast buffets. Only a mile off Disney property, they are very close. And just off exit 68 of the I4 for a quick hop up to Universal.

Next door to Staybridge and around the corner from Courtyard is Cypress Pointe Resort. 2/3 bed condos will full kitchens, washer/dryer and some hotel type facilitues including fun pool, quite pools, activities, tennis, basketball etc.

I would recommend Cypress Pointe or one of the Sheraton Vistana resorts. They both do retail rentals at pretty reasonable rates or if you will be staying a full seven days, you might want to get even a better deal and rent from a timeshare owner using a site like TUG2.net or Redweek.com. I think a two bedroom condo would be perfect for your family. And these resorts are great.
