Has anyone else heard?

I have heard that this year flights are meant to be coming down in price.

Has anyone alse heard anything on this?

If so, how much are they set to come down by?

Answers on a postcard please!! Thanks!!

Well demand is down, but so are seats on flights. So there might not be much change, or there might be a lot. Who knows, it is early days yet.

Hi act1980

if you go onto BA or Virgin site, you will find the are having a sale.

hope this is helpful

Hi,

Yes I am aware of their sale but I have heard that prices are going to drop even lower than that. :-)

Anyone heard anything??

There will be less seats because of the demise of some tour operators either by going bust or taken over. I will miss BMI.

The phoenix like rebirth of TCD will not create more seats because it will buy up surplus and charge the best they can.

The market has to contract because of the lack of confidence shown by tourons. Whoever you are Florida Holidays are very costly and people will think twice during these uncertain times. However you can be sure that the tour companies will not be seding half full planes out - they will just consolidate bookings.

Having said all of that how many people will be rushing off to Europe with the euro taking us back to the bad old days when you had to check with the bank before you got a round in at any french resort.

I think many Brits will be following Chinners and try building greenhouses for a few years to come - he could bring out a magazine with weekly instalments on the build and how to make the rides.

so what, should we all buy stock in green house manufacturers lol?

I agree, with the number of flights contracted due to failures and scheduled like BA and Virgin cutting back, there won%26#39;t be as much supply. We%26#39;ll just have to wait and see a bit with this one to see how much further demand falls.

sorry but how can anyone predict lower fares. fares are low now because, oil prices are low for now.once the oil goes up the fuel surcharge will go up , and with that air fares go up.

i do hope what you have heard is correct, this will be great for everyone.

Sadly Florida bookings are up according to TAs so with bed space lower and flights less i belive that prices will rise ,the flights ive just booked were rising by 拢3.00 pound a day the first price would have saved me another 拢100 but i couldnt make my mind up thinking they might drop ,tonight there up again ,so i think book now .

I%26#39;ve said it before and will say it again. You can%26#39;t predict airfares. No one knows the price of oil 6 months from now, nor the demand..

When you find a fare that fits your budget, take it and know you have a seat.
