Dome Flea Market

Is Venice worth a trip? Sounds like a good place for shopping after XMAS- or is it more like a neighborhood yard rummage sale? Any nice fish restaurants on the pier?

Dome Flea Market

Downtown Venice has charm. yes, I think it is worth the trip. No chains..all locally owned.

Althea%26#39;s has good breakfast

The Crow%26#39;s Nest is on the water and has fairly decent seafood. Not award winning however.

Sharky%26#39;s on the Pier is also on the water...again OK. but not the greatest..good view however. Good beach if you are looking for shark%26#39;s teeth...

On the way to Venice, there are some Olde Florida type places.

The Spanish Point Pub...outside seating..good food Bayview St. Osprey

Pop%26#39;s Waterfront Grill..off Albee Farm Rd.

Casey Key Fish House..Blackburn Pt. Rd. Osprey

Off the beaten path..but very fun:

Snook Haven..off River Rd...on the river..

Dome Flea Market

Do not waste your time at the Dome Flea Market- it was a rummage sale.

I was there a couple weeks ago, I agree, the flea market is a waste of time.

Always enjoy the Red Barn market on 41 in Bradenton. Its a great chance to see a bit of local colour and the fruit and vegetable market is terrific,

Finish up with lunch in Linger Lodge for something really different...really entertaining and the gator bites are good.
