We are planning our next visit for the last week in september.
So, how is the month of september?
The average temp in September is a high of 90 F and a low of 72 F. We get an average of 6 inches of rain/ 14 days of rain that month too. So, it may be hot and rainy. But, it may not. The weather in Orlando is hard to predict. You can usually plan on hot though.
As for crowds, that is usually a good time to go to the parks. Crowds aren%26#39;t bad when the kids are back in school and people are not traveling as much. Lines should be minimal.
Have a great trip.
So, how is the month of september?
September = very hot, very humid, chance of hurricanes/tropical storms, but very low crowds usually.
If you can stand the weather, it%26#39;s a great time to go, especially if Disney offers the %26#39;free dining%26#39; again.
Oh, sorry, forgot to mention you need to also be able to ';bear with'; the love bugs in September as well.
They don%26#39;t bite, sting, or harm people (only car paint), but they are a real nuisance and get into everything, including your hair, your food, your drinks, etc.
IMO, Great !!
Been going in September for many years and the Free Dining Offer has made it a very cost effective time to go. It is still quite warm but we enjoy it, gives us one last bit of Summer before the long cold Northern Winter. Crowd levels are easy enough to handle, that makes it more enjoyable
PS I am already booked for September 2009 :)
Hi LDZZZZ,
I think we are following each other lol! We were there last month when you were there i believe and we are going 16th-30th Sept this year again, when you are there, how funny! I know Partypa is there the last week of Sept too so im really hoping she will organise one of her famous TA gatherings, hope to see you there too.
Tht is funny! Great minds think alike!! we should definitely meet up!!
I%26#39;m planning, always planning :)
I`d quite forgotten the love bugs.
I don%26#39;t recall them being around this past September, were there any ? Wasn%26#39;t it an Odd Year ? I don%26#39;t mean the date, I mean that there weren%26#39;t many Love Bugs
September is a wonderful time to go. People say about the rain but we had one rainy day in 14 and even that had stopped and gone back to normal humid heat by midday. You get a passing sprinkling of a shower, which considering the heat is very welcome! We did however catch the tail end of a storm and there were weather warnings all over TV, but because Orlando is so inland you only really catch the heavy rain.
The love bugs are annoying, but its something you get used to.
The crowd level = FANTASTIC!
A few things we still had to queue for, such as The Mummy at Universal and Expedition Everest but almost everything had very very little to no wait at all! It was great and you can reallly make the most of your trip when it is like this!
I%26#39;m going in June this year due to term restrictions, not looking forward to the crowd level.
