Where to dance Tango in Fort Lauderdale?

Where to dance Tango in Fort Lauderdale?

Where to dance Tango in Fort Lauderdale?

If salsa and tango are similar this might help

salsapower.com/cities/fl/broward_clubs.htm

Have to admit I stole this link from one of Awfulcat%26#39;s posts. Dancing is not one of my fortes LOL.

Where to dance Tango in Fort Lauderdale?

I%26#39;m not sure they are the same ,Sue ( another member of the two left feet club here). There is a dance studio on Commercial Blvd called Casa Salsa that apparently has beginning and advanced Tango sessions on Sunday afternnons only , for which of course there is a fee( wasn%26#39;t clear to me what they charge). If the poster wants to e-mail amnd ask they can at info@casasalsaonline.com

This would be a bit away from the tourist are , so transportation would be an issue. On the other days they have salsa and zumba only ( I%26#39;m clueless at this point) but I don%26#39;t think they are similar- tango being from Argentina and somewhat sophisticated, salsa being more from Latin America and pretty lively. There is a restaurant/club on Las Olas called the Samba Room , but in visiting their website they don%26#39; mention tango at all

I wondered too if any of the South American rodozio steakhouses had tango entertainment , but places like Chima are actually Brazilian, not Argentinian in flavor.

Abby should be back on line today- maybe she - or some of her peeps have better idea- Abby is actually a marvelous dancer- don%26#39;t know why she hangs out with me...

I was momentarily puzzled by your ';there are two Sues ';comment- but I realize now you mean CT Sue- but I always seem to put her with her travelling companions , so they are collectively known as ';Jody, Harry and Sue '; all in one breath - so hopefully that will avoid any confusion- I think of them as a team!

All my dancing is the same - seriously bad and usually alcohol fueled, the only consolation is that it is usually, marginally better than Chris%26#39;s. You have yet to see Chris%26#39;s one leg and one arm dance, on reflection - perhaps you don%26#39;t really want to see it at all. Unless, of course, you want to have a massive bout of hysteria.

The thoughts of me and Chris doing a tango LOL!!!!!!!!!

Can someone please answer the OP%26#39;s question sensibly because this is just getting ridiculous?

I found a website that lists all types of dance including Tango in Broward County. Hope this helps!

Leave it to Awfulcat to come to the rescue!!! I just knew you%26#39;d have the answer....

Sorry haven%26#39;t heard of much tango in Fort Lauderdale. You might have to head for nearby cities like Pompano, Hollywood, Hallendale, or Deerfield Beach. Not sure how recently this link was updated, but might be helpful: http://www.tangoinsouthflorida.com/

Good luck!

I checked out the website from Florida1 and there seems to be a lot of tango classes listed. The website says it was updated December, 2008 so it should all be pretty recent information. There is one site listed in Oakland Park and the website is www.ThisIsTango.com. Lots of places in Miami, Hollywood, and Hallandale too.....

I do hope the OP has checked back here :)
