Regal Palms Resort questions

Considering renting a townhouse here for next March.....so many available, and after reviewing a few sites it seems like they are all furnished alike....so which would be a deciding factor in staying here....are some units quieter than others or is the convenience of being near the pool areas worthwhile or is it a trade off with noise and less privacy ??.........Also are there garages to park your car next to the rental units ??

Regal Palms Resort questions

When we were there in 2006 your car was parked outside your townhouse , suppose it will still be the same . We also rented our townhouse privately from holidayrentals.co.uk and got it a lot cheaper than thru a rental agency . Really nice place to stay , didn%26#39;t find it too noisy at all .

Regal Palms Resort questions

Most of the townhomes here look alike! I think the end units are larger 4-bedroom units, while the others are 3-bedroom.

I guess if you have small children it might be better to be closer to the pool area- then you can lug all of their junk easier. But, personally, I would rather stay a little further away from that area, in case it was a little noisy.

I guess it all depends on your preference.

There are no garages with the townhomes, but it is a gated resort, so you shouldn%26#39;t have to worry too much about leaving your vehicle in the driveway.

I stayed at Regal Palms in April 2007 with my husband, two kids and four of their friends. We chose it because we thought there would be more for teenagers to do on a resort. Wrong! There really wasn%26#39;t anything and I wish now that we had booked a much nicer house on a gated community. The pool area looks great on the photo%26#39;s, and it is very nice, but it is too small for the number of homes and there are nowhere near enough sunbeds. Staff in the bar/food area are not great. Vary between being disinterested and rude. I was disappointed with the house. Ours was privately owned and we rented through www.holidayrentals.co.uk and I think from reading Tripadvisor that these homes tend to be better than the resort owned ones. However, all the furnishings were cheap and the carpets were not clean. Highlands Reserve (opposite) is also booked out on some sites as Regal Palms and that is a gated golf community with much nicer houses. They also get to use the Regal Palms facilities which is one of the reasons it is over-crowded! Our house was near to the reception and pool so we were lucky. It is a big place so be warned. To get to your question, I didn%26#39;t see any garages. Everyone parks on the drive or the road outside their home. I have been to Florida many times and hope to go back but I wouldn%26#39;t stay at Regal Palms again. There really are much nicer places.

I would recommend Highlands Reserve over Regal Palms.

You get a luxurious and spacious villa with private pool, many come with open golf course or conservation views which are not overlooked.

We booked ours through www.villainorlando.net which only offers villas on Highlands Reserve and they have over 100 villas to chose from.

You can search for available villas using their on-line facility and get on-line quotes for all available villas - you can then book on-line direct with the owner - really easy and much cheaper that using an agency. We also booked out flights %26amp; car hire through the website !!

And finally - a great golf course - we played several times whilst my mum looked after the kids by the poolside.
