Bar near Hyatt Place open late?

Flying in pre cruise on a Wednesday night - would like to walk somewhere and have a few beers before calling it a night. Seems like everything closes down around 11 PM. (Grumpy Gator, Carlos %26amp; Pepes). Any suggestions?

I believe Waxy O%26#39;Connor%26#39;s - the friendly pub across 17th St.from Embassy Suites is open later. Also, a short walk up Cordova Rd (at the traffic light by Embassy Suites) is Southport Raw Bar- a locals favorite. Both should be night owl places. I think - I%26#39;ll look for and post links to the websites to be sure that is true midweek- but I do remember sending some late arrivals there once before.

Southport is open till 2 am and their second Happy Hour of the day ( love the concept) starts at 11PM on Sat- Thursday!!
