Sensor not taken off on a WDW purchase

I just came back a few hours ago from my fantastic trip to WDW!!! I bought SO many things that I almost lost track. My last purchase (to be picked up from my resort gift store) was a pair of pants -- I just took it out of its bag and realized that the sensor was never taken off! =o(

Not only that, prior to taking the pant out, I ripped my receipt into a few pieces and ALMOST threw it out!

I%26#39;m going to take my torn receipts and the pant to a Disney store tmrw in the HOPES that they will be able to take the sensor off.

Anyone have something like this happen to them with Disney merchandise? or am I the only idiot. =o(

*fingers crossed* for tmrw!

I had it happen to a pair of pants from Universal, took it back with the receipt and they were really appolgetic and took it off immediatley.

Good luck!

Sensor not taken off on a WDW purchase

I have never had a problem with my pants but can see how annoying this could be.

The thing is I already left WDW and not anywhere near florida. I did call a disney store here but the sensors are not the same! =o( I was told to try different department stores.. grr what a pain!

What does the sensor look like?

I had that happen once. It sort of looked like a big tack from a corkboard with a back on it...We just took a wire cutters, and cut the metal pin part.

Best of luck getting it off.

Don%26#39;t try and remove it yourself!!!!!

I did this when I bought a bag fm WDW and purple dye came out of the thing and all over me and the bag!!!!

Nightmare!

My husband took it back to the store, with the receipt and they apologised and gave him a refund - I felt should have got compensation.

Obviously this happens a lot, but the dye is most annoying!

Call disney, they will probably mail you a new pair of pants and then have you send back the pair with the tag.

You can cut if off it is not a dye tag, if a dye tag. No you can not cut it off safely.

i%26#39;m going to take it to a dept store today n c if they can/will do it, otherwise, thanks for the idea! i%26#39;m going to call disney n have it replaced. =O)

I tried freezing the ink in one of those tags that was left on a hat I bought. That doesn%26#39;t work, either. LOL!
