Key West FL in February

Heading to Key West FL in February and wondering if anyone has some suggestions for some fun things to do, good restaurants to eat, etc. Will be down there for about ten days and staying about two blocks off of Duvaul Street. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Great time to go....

If you%26#39;re there around the weekend of the 14th check out Put in Bay days at Sloppy Joes... great time..

Beyond that, especially with all the time you have, make sure you walk around and visit as many places as you can. Talk to the folks around you and you%26#39;ll find all sorts of interesting things.

Have fun.

I%26#39;m jealous, NJbeachbum! We just got back and wish we could buy a place there! As far as restaurants, try the Cuban food. It%26#39;s good. We liked El Mason de Pepe--others like El Siboney. My husband quickly got hooked on BO Fish shack%26#39;s sandwiches. We were there for a week and did not even get to do half the things we wanted to. You must do something on the water--whether it is boating, fishing, snorkeling, etc. We went on the glass bottom boat catamaran (which was good) but we liked kayaking (Blue Planet tours) much better. If you like eco-tours, that is well worth it. The beaches are OK--our group liked Ft. Zachary--but the boat thing is something you can%26#39;t do other places. The snorkeling is supposed to be the best at the Dry Tortougas but we ran out of time to do this (it%26#39;s an all day thing). By all means, walk down Duval street but don%26#39;t spend all of your time there. There%26#39;s lots more to Key West.

Leaving Monday, can%26#39;t wait!! Thank you for the suggestions.

a must-do the first full day...take the conch train or trolley ride around the island. good fun, informative, and gives you an idea of the layout of the land. we will be looking for a trip report when you return...it%26#39;s the least you can do...lol
