Wyndham Orlando - which buildings have the patios/balcony?

Staying at the Wyndham Orlando for a week at the start of February. I know it%26#39;s had some dodgy reviews lately but the location suits us and we%26#39;ve stayed there a number of times before and not had problems (although admittedly not been there for 2 years).

This time we are taking our 6 month old son and therefore will probably be in the room more in the evening so fancy the idea of a patio/balcony to sit on whilst the little man sleeps.

Anyone know what number buildings have these and which ones have the nicest views?

I thought I had seen somewhere were it was closing down, but it might only be for refurbshing . Sounds like it desperatly needs it. Virgin have stopped using it , and on TA a while ago someone was posting they had not been notifided.

But I might have got it wrong. But I would check and make sure.

I%26#39;m going with Virgin (package through Virginholidays.com) in 2 weeks time, it%26#39;s still in all their brochures and on their website.

Im staying here in december this year... really worrying now after all the bad reviews! It looks lovely in all the brochures though. ClareMarie maybe you can let me know how you get on when you get back! Sorry I cant be of any help with your question!

If it is the one on Sand Lake and Intl Drive, buildings 8-13 have the balconies if memory serves. It has been years since I have been to that property though.

yes, thats the one - thanks i%26#39;ll request one of those buildings then.

XR759 is getting confused with the Wynfield Inn. The Wyndham (corner of Sand Lake Rd and I-Drive) is a totally different hotel, different standard, different ownership, and isn%26#39;t under threat as far as I know.

We are staying here for 14 nights at Easter this year, and as much as I am looking forward to our holiday, I am really worried about this hotel. Its got some really terrible reviews on here, yet it is still on Virgins website rated 4 out of 5 in virgins rating system. It looks lovely on the website, and when we booked last January the reviews on here were better than they have been recently.

Thought i%26#39;d give a quick update for the last poster who is anxious about their forthcoming trip.

We got back on Sunday after 7 nights at Wyndham Orlando. We enjoyed our stay but can see why some people might give bad reviews for perhaps the following reasons:

The bathrooms are very small, this has never been an issue when we%26#39;ve stayed there before as a couple but with a baby it was difficult to get close enough to the bath to wash him (the toilet is right next to the bath and the door opens at the other end) - not a massive issue though.

The coffee maker is in the bathroom which isn%26#39;t ideal so we didn%26#39;t bother to use it, just kind of put us off a bit - drinks near the toilet.

No minibar - not a huge issue though

No fridge - we knew this already so bought a cool box from Walgreens across the road and filled it with ice from the ice machines in each building.

Our room was clean and nice - in building 13, overlooking one of the lagoons. We had a balcony and a lovely view. Was only a 5 min walk to the pool and Gatorville bar so very convenient.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, more so because England was gridlocked with snow the whole time we were away!
