August or September and one other ?

Hi

We will be heading to Disney this year. What are crowds like at the end of August and does it rain a lot? Is it better to wait until September?

Also has Anyone stayed at the All Star Resorts or the Pop Century? Which is better? We won%26#39;t be in the room a whole lot anyway but we want the better place.

August or September and one other ?

It%26#39;s very, very hot and humid and rains for some time most days.

The parks will be packed and queuing times very long. We%26#39;ve been twice in Aug%26#39; and wouldn%26#39;t go again, mainly due to it being too unbearable. If you can go later in the year, when all the kids are back at school, you%26#39;ll find it far more relaxed and enjoyable!

It rains due to the humidity, so it%26#39;s a welcome relief when it comes, but sometimes, it makes no difference - still far too hot! The first time we went, it rained from about the 4th day onwards for hours every day and that was really annoying. 2nd time was a lot less rain, but far hotter.

when i was there it rained every day, sometimes for hours, sometimes for minutes, one day it rained so hard you could not go out in it

My many experiences at this time of year is that August has more crowds than September, but all other things considered, they are about the same.

Weather in either month is brutally hot, humid, and it rains every day..and I do mean every day. In the many trips I%26#39;ve taken in September, it has rained on us every single day at some point for some duration. In 2007, we had the worst storms I%26#39;ve ever seen the week we were there.

Both months can be prime hurricane months as well, but I wouldn%26#39;t let that stop my plans, as you cannot predict if they will occur or not.

Ooops, hit reply too soon.

I%26#39;d choose September after the Labor Day holiday since the crowds are so much smaller than in August.

You must wait until after Labor Day however, which this year is Sept. 7th.

We%26#39;re flying out on 25th September, it%26#39;ll be quieter as there are no schools, and its not as hot as August :)

In 2005 we went in mid September. We had two full days without rain, but Hurricane Rita was also moving through while we were there. Because of that, the temps stayed pretty steady in the low 80s. The crowds weren%26#39;t bad at all though...

Thanks - I think we will wait till september then. I would rather not be in the crowds.
