Hi, I will be making my first trip to the Daytona 500 with 3 or 4 other people this year. After looking all over the internet for a decent deal on some decent tickets we have decided to try and buy some off the street the day of. I have been to many other tracks I.E. (Bristol, Charlotte, Martinsville, Richmond and Darlington) and there always seems to be a lot of tickets to be found. Would this be the same for the Daytona 500 and is there a chance of finding 5 good tickets together for a fairly good deal? We would like to be on the frontstretch and at least 20 rows up. Our thinking is with the economy the way it is that people will be trying just to get rid of most tickets this year.
Thanks
Buying Daytona 500 tickets on the day of the race?
There was plenty of touts outside the Speedway last year with handfuls of tickets to sell so i guess it will be the same for this year.. i suppose though the more seats you need together the harder it is.
Buying Daytona 500 tickets on the day of the race?
If you buy them on speedway property you will get a better deal. Stay away from the guys on the roads and off site parking lots.
People will be around selling tickets in the parking lots on day of. Also -- if you are in or near town you will see posts from travelers in elevators - washrooms - restaurants - grocery stores etc,...
You will easily be able to find what you want.
You may want to print out a seating chart to verify area on track and most of the tickets have the holograms......

Thanks for the help, I%26#39;m really looking forward to going. I just picked up a parking pass for LOT 3 which is across the street from the speedway? Anyone know if this is a good spot? I%26#39;m thinking it should be because it looks to be an easy walk to the speedway.....
