we went to florida last year 1st time and stayed in a villa just 3 of us but this year to stay in a villa is very expensive would u stay in a hotel not sure what to do as the villa was great
villa or hotelHi Laurenr
We stayed in December with a party of five at 3 different hotels and only for one week we had a car.
If we should go again I would go for a villa because I think it would be cheaper.
You can eat in the villa for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
But again You would probably need a car which also cost money. I think It depends on what You will do
if You are going to the parks every day, and can use the free shuttles I would go for a hotel.
Mutter
villa or hotelI agree with Mutter38, I like the idea of staying in a vacation home/villa vs. hotel. I like the space to spread out, the idea that I can cook if I desire too and we usually save money on eating out, because we eat breakfast at the home before venturing out to the parks. We even sometimes pack sandwiches and take frozen bottles of water and juice into the park with us, hence we save on lunches and most always we eat dinner at the home/villa.
You will however need a car and that can get expensive at times, but I wouldn%26#39;t have it any other way. I usually travel with at least minimum of 4-5 people so a home is always more economical for us.
You may want to try to rent directly from an owner that way you may be able to bargain the price of the rental. Try this link: www.mydisneyvacationhomes.com. The owner has a home in Emerald Island (3miles from Disney) and Orange Tree (approx 8 miles from Disney). I%26#39;ve stayed in Windor Palms too, which is close to Emerald Island, however, I had issues with the cleanliness of that home and other issues. The community itself was a nice gated community. You can also try www.villadirect.com for condos, townhouses and vacation home with pools rentals located throughout the Disney area.

We all have different preferences.
For me, not having to cook (and tidy up afterwards) is a good thing - part of being on holiday. As is not having to make your bed, clean and so on.
So it disposes me towards hotels. In terms of saving money, several hotel chains offer free breakfast - Hampton Inn for example - and, as another has mentioned, using any included free shuttles and/or public buses can also shave quite a few hundred 拢拢拢 of your budget.
Three of you in one room would be a little bit ';cosy'; (only a little bit - US hotel rooms are typically a lot bigger than those in the UK). But you can mitigate with careful choice. There are many well-priced ';suite'; hotel chains, most of which also offer free breakfast.
Hi have you thought of staying in a condo? they are like a villa two or three bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, full kitchens only difference is you have to share a pool but no one is hardly in the pool anyway. You also get a clubhouse with a gym and games room. We have also stayed in a villa before but now prefer condos. We have stayed at Bahama Bay Fountains, Homewood suites, orange lake country club vistana and this year we are staying at Floridays. Have a great holiday!
It has to be a villa everytime. Its hardly a hardship to make your own bed and as for making breakfast, you cant beat having toast and orange juice sat by your own pool in the morning as the sun comes up looking forward to an exciting day at the parks. The space and free amenties you get in a villa like widescreen TVs, games room, Xbox and PS3 console with games cable tv the list goes on. You get none of this in a hotel.
If you want to watch certain movies in your hotel room you have to pay for an upgrade, where as a lot of vacation homes have a dvd library. As for gyms and communal pools you will find most villa communities have these as well.
Villa, most definitely. You have your own space, quite. There are lots villas with easy reach to the parks. for lesser expensive one, with in 15-20 minutes drive, you have Tuscany Hills.. Water Song etc. For higher end resort and closer to the park, you have Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms. etc. I even saw some houses for rent at Reunion at decent price.
If not a villa try a condo.
When I checked, the price of a hotel was more expensive than us getting a house with a pool. I booked mine from a couple in the UK. Try this website, there are tons to offer,
