Anything new and exciting in the Daytona area for 2009?

We are hoping to visit again this year, and wondered if there were any new attractions, restaurants, etc. that should be done for 2009? We will probably visit the new Greyhound track that opened after we were there in 2008. Thanks in advance.

Since we had to cancel our December trip, I want to know if they ever finished that park they were constructing right next to the Main Street Pier.

Last time we were in Daytona in Dec. 2007, they were ';working on it';, but they%26#39;d been working on it forever seemingly.

Maybe someone else will chime in with info on that, if not, we will try to check it out when we get there and report back. They were welding underwater on the pier itself when we were there in 2007, we didn%26#39;t get down that way last year. So much to do in the area, it is hard to get to every thing each visit.

Well we will be too late for either of those events again this year. I have heard good things about the bahama house, but we have reservations elsewhere again this year. Thanks for the reply though.
