We%26#39;re planning to celebrate a 50th birthday party in April and looking to book a sunset cruise, preferably a dinner cruise. Looking at the Liberty Clipper Caribbean Dinner...anyone been? Any other suggestions as far as sunset cruises??

There is a huge amount of info on this, right here in the forum.

Sunset dinner cruise
Thanks for the response. I had already checked out both of these dinner cruises on the forum, as well as the Liberty Clipper dinner. I guess I%26#39;m looking to hear from people who have tried any of them. I don%26#39;t want to ruin the celebration by booking something that only ';sounds good'; on paper.
So sorry!! I just did a search on the forum and found several opinions on various cruises that I hadn%26#39;t read. Exactly what I was looking for...thanks!
Don%26#39;t be sorry, it why we%26#39;re here. ; )
One more question please...has anyone heard anything about the Caribbean Dinner Sunset Cruise on the Liberty fleet? The menu looks intriguing as it%26#39;s a bbq dinner aboard a 125%26#39; schooner. It says it operates out of both Boston (after May) and KW
We went on the Sunset dinner cruise last year and it was very nice, not a sail boat and it leaves from Stock Island. There were 6 of us, and I think the boat heldanother 8 or so, possibly more. Great service, great food, a lot of fun. We will probably do it again this year.
I love the Liberty Clipper. It%26#39;s a nice sailing ship, but I%26#39;ve seen some pretty mixed reviews on the dinner cruise. The 2 that keywesttaxi recommends both get rave reviews, and come highly recommended.
Thanks Simkeith--good to know that the Clipper is a nice boat. My group prefers a dinner that is ';buffet-style'; (they%26#39;d prefer to pick and choose a little of everything) rather than a fixed course menu and also, they would like live music aboard. The Liberty Clipper offers both which is why I was hoping to hear from someone who had ';first-hand'; experience with that particular dinner cruise. Still on the fence with time running out.......
Here%26#39;s my take on buffet food. It is cooked long in advance, kept warm on steam trays, and tends to be mediocre at best. Just my take, but I%26#39;m no buffetguy. =)
Whatever you choose, I%26#39;d love to hear your review upon return. The Liberty Clipper is a big, single hulled, wooden sailing ship. All the Liberty boats are well staffed, professional, and very enjoyable just to go out on for a nice sunset sail, a few drinks and and an appetizer.
Simkeith---I totally understand your take on buffets, especially if it%26#39;s prepared ahead of time Their website says that the food is grilled onboard the boat so I%26#39;m still hopeful......
';....passengers may dance to the sounds of the live Island music, or work up an appetite helping the fully uniformed crew set the sails, as the enticing aroma of dinner being freshly prepared on the grill wafts across the deck.';
Has ANYONE out there done this one??
