For my pre-cruise night, I%26#39;ll probably end up staying at one of the 17th Street hotels (no car), and would like to find a restaurant that fulfills the following requirements: Somewhere I can dine alone on a Saturday night (I%26#39;m going solo) and not feel uncomfortable by myself, thereby ruling out romantic candlelit places and big party places. Basically I%26#39;d like to just eat a nice meal without being rushed and that%26#39;s pretty much it. I%26#39;d also like it to be reasonably priced, which to me would be less than $20 for an entree.
I know that there%26#39;s an Outback Steakhouse right in the area, but I%26#39;d like to find a place that isn%26#39;t a chain if I can help it. Any suggestions will be appreciated!

I really like Bravo%26#39;s for Italian food. It%26#39;s in the shopping center just west of the Renaissance (or a few blocks east of Embassy Suites). Their food is delicious. I checked out their website and the entrees run from $20-$30. www.bravoitaliano.com I think you%26#39;d be comfortable there.
Bimini Boatyard is in the same center, but it seems like a happy-hour gathering place and it will definitely be noisier than Bravo%26#39;s. However, their food is good. Menu prices are also between $20-$30. www.biminiboatyard.com
These are just two suggestions. I%26#39;m sure Lulu, Audrey, Pat, and Sue will have other ideas....

Do you like Asian Fusion ( sushi, stir fries etc? Coco Asian Bistro is great and I think they have dining at their bar, which is something I like if alone- usually the bartenders are chatty and watching them is entertaining. It is in Harbor Shops right behind Embassy Suites and while I have yet to dine at that bar myself- I%26#39;m always there with a gang-I love their food- at least the stir fry and tempura- not a sushi girl myself, but my friends love those!
