Hi all, I am hoping to go back to Disney either this summer or early next year.
I am a single mum and so money is tight. However I am in the process of adopting two little girls I have been fostering, and would like to celebrate this once they are legally mine, with a trip to disney as a way of cementing them into the family, so I will be coming with a soon to be 1yr old little girl, a 4yr old little girl, a 14yr old boy and a 19yr old girl.
I would love to celebrate this huge event in some way that is truly memorable to all, some family may also be coming out.
Does anyone have any suggestions. I have heard about princess tea party at grand floridian and that sounds wonderful.

I don%26#39;t have any brilliant suggestions off the top of my head, but I just had to tell you how very much I admire you for adopting these two little girls. Your heart must be as big as all outdoors. Congratulations; I hope the process goes smoothly for you all.

I am a huge fan of the Perfectly Princess Tea Party, at the Grand. However, your son would probably die of embarrassment, to be seen there and it would cost a fortune to bring the whole family. Perhaps just you and the 3 girls could go, and your son could do something, with the other family members.
Another option is the Cinderella dinner, at the Grand Flo. Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother and the silly step sisters appear here, nightly. It is full of families and the characters will see that your son has fun, as well as all of your Princesses. The food is quite nice and a set price, which helps with the budget. Everyone in your family would enjoy this meal.
Cazkatjoe: and Congratulations! How lovely for all of you!
Congratulations! You%26#39;re going to have quite a varied group!
The princess tea party at the Grand Floridian is pretty pricey. The one featuring the Alice in Wonderland characters is much more affordable.
There is also a princess meal at Akershus in Epcot and Cinderella%26#39;s Castle in the Magic Kingdom. I believe Akershus is the less expensive of those two.
You can find menus and prices at:

This sounds like a wonderful trip!
Congratulations again on your new little princesses!

The Perfectly Princess meal is terrific but very expensive-like it%26#39;s over $200. You get a doll and some treats but if money is tight, you can do better. A character meal is always good-we do it whether the kids are along or not. Chef Mickey%26#39;s is a favorite of ours. The Cinderella breakfast is outstanding though very hard to get a reservation. There are other princess meals at the Grand Floridian and Epcot and if your kids like Winnie the Pooh, the Crystal Palace. If you can work it into the budget,a fireworks cruise might also be magical
cazkatjoe,
I know this is going to sound peculiar, but call the folks at Disney Weddings.
When I worked at Disney the folks in Weddings were a cut above the rest of the people that answer the phone. They tend to be more creative and more personable. Ask them what they recommend.

I like the idea, of calling Disney weddings. They have a great staff!
The reason I didn%26#39;t mention the Aice Tea Party, is that your 4 year old, is the only child that can attend. They only take children 4 thru 10 years. Akershus and Cinderella%26#39;s Castle are among our favorite dining spots. I think your son would feel more comfortable, at the Grand Floridian dinner. It helps to have Prince Charming and the silly step sisters. The other two venues are strictly Princesses.
Our favotite character meals, without Princesses, are Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club, Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom, and Donald%26#39;s Safari Breakfast at Animal Kingdom. These would all be great, for the whole family.
Hi all
Thanks for the suggestions, I will phone Disney Weddings and see if they have any ideas.
I will also book princess tea party I think, we may be coming when it is her 4th birthday so that would be nice.
Money is tight now I have jumped from two children to four children so I will have to see how things go.
THanks again for all the kind words.

Catkazjoe, I really have not much clue how to best celebrate such an event as this but can I just congratulate you on your decision to adopt. I was adopted myself to a very beautiful new mum and dad and although we never went to florida we spent many, many happy times and holidays, such rich wonderful childhood memories. I have a feeling your new family are going to have a wonderful time together. I wish you all the luck in the world. It takes a very special person to adopt. Best wishes and have fun.
Thankyou everyone for all your kind words. Hope to sort something out soon,
