Jan. 24th - 26th trip

Looking into coming to Orlando Jan. 23rd thru Jan.27th. One day at Universal and the rest at Disney. The hotels that I%26#39;m interested in at Disney are not available regarding my requests such as...Coronado Springs has only a king bed available and no preferred section available. Beach Club has only pool/water view no standard view and AK not available at all. PO Riverside no preferred view available. I can make do without some of my requests but my concern is, will Disney be very crowded in this timeframe or am I just booking late?

Others have reported back they aren%26#39;t able to get the rooms at the Resorts they want. This sounds very odd to me, it is not a very busy time

I wouldn%26#39;t worry too much about a preferred room at POR, there isn%26#39;t much of a difference

Are you set on only those Resorts ? Wilderness Lodge would be a Great Choice, IMO

Are you interested in the Buy 4 Get 3 free deal ? Disney always sets aside a certain number of rooms for every Promo, that may be making the difference in what%26#39;s available

I have booked in less then 2 weeks time with no problem, even during the Summer time.

If you have been dealing directly with Disney ( on-line or by phone ) I recomend another 2 options

Thanks Partypa for your response. I did try Disney directly and did not meet my requests so I called AAA, I%26#39;m a member. Got pretty much the same availabilty from AAA. Disney would not give a reason for the limited options and AAA thought possibly because I was booking without much notice.

Wilderness Lodge is great, we were there in August, 2007 so we wanted to try something different. I was hoping to get into Beach Club standard view in order to use their pool. My son wants to do the water parks but I don%26#39;t and I thought SAB would be a compromise. We can%26#39;t do the extra nights package Disney is offering cause I%26#39;m squeezing this possible trip into a day off of school plus week-end and only a couple missed school days.

As long as there isn%26#39;t something big going on in Disney that will make for large crowds, I guess I can rethink some of my requests.

The Stormalong Poolat the Y %26amp; B clubs is going to be having a rehab starting Jan 5th, Parts of the Pool will be closed

We%26#39;ve had some luck in the past with American Express Travel doing bookings. Do you only want to stay directly in WDW? We%26#39;ve enjoyed in the past staying at the Hilton near Downtown Disney or in condos at the Polynesian Isles Resort in Kissimmee or Sheraton Vistana in Orlando near Lake Buena Vista.

Thanks FloridaFunandSun for the hotel suggestions. Since this is a short trip, 3 full Disney days and one Universal day, we wanted to stay on property. But, the Hilton sounds nice for a future trip!

There are two sporting events while you are there.

Boys volleyball the 23rd to 25th

Gymnastic invitational 23rd to 25th (I think this one might bring a lot of people to the resorts, not necessarily the parks)

Also if you are using magical express and are not renting a car dreams unlimited has a great transportaion and ticket deal.
