I%26#39;m going to be in Miami later this month and am thinking about doing an overnight down in the Keys. I know almost nothing about the area, so I%26#39;m unsure where to go, what to expect, where to stay, etc.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to plan this?
I would be traveling with my husband and our two grown children (mid-twenties). Our budget is a bit tight, but if I could find lodging for the four of us (one room with two beds is okay)for around $150 that would be great. We%26#39;re mostly interested in learning about the region and the local culture, beaches, and general relaxation!
Thanks for your help!

Overnight trip to the Keys
go to
www.alexanderpalms.com
they have studios and you can get to the sister hotel authors of key west on the same web page and they do stuios that sleep 4 starting at about $130
All the Keys have their own feel. Take the time to explore some, don%26#39;t just rush to Key West. Key Largo, Islamorada and Marathon are all good stops for a few nights, or one.
Indian Key, Crane Point Hammock, Pigeon Key, Bahia Honda are all great for learning Keys history and exploring.
Sombrero Beach and Bahia Honda are nice beaches for the Keys.
