Whispering Canyon Cafe - fun or obnoxious?

I%26#39;ve read mixed reviews about the Whispering Canyon Cafe. If you%26#39;ve been there, did you enjoy it or did you find it annoying? Is it fun even if you don%26#39;t have children?

It is a lot of fun! The food was good, too. But it is not geared for a quiet meal.

I agree, it%26#39;s fun. I wouldn%26#39;t go too late in the evening or if you are tired and or feeling a little cranky, it is meant to be loud and you are meant to have a good time, with or without kids

PS the food is pretty good :)

can anyone tell me where this restaurant is? I%26#39;ve read the reviews and it sounds like fun and also do you need to pre-book or can you just turn up

It is in the Wilderness Lodge Hotel. When you enter the lobby, it is immediately on the left hand side. If you have never been to the Wilderness Lodge before, the lobby is something to see, as well. It is a beautiful hotel!

I would make a reservation for this restaurant, as it tends to get very busy.

I personally know 2 people, who have wait staffed here, and the restaurant is truly fun!

Kate- thanks for your post. I was undecided what to do about our reservation for Whispering Canyon. I was not sure if we would make it. I just changed it to a day we will make it.

It gets too good of reviews to not try it.

We love Whispering Canyon, We make it a point to go there on every trip. We are all adult and the sat us in a back room aways from the kid. The room was all open with nice lighting and we could see the lobby. It was very nice.

Personal preference here...food is average, but has a nice theme (heavy smoke taste to much of the fare). For first timers, I would say you%26#39;ll have fun in the atmosphere (besides, the Lodge itself has one of the best atmospheres on property), ESPECIALLY if you have any kids 10 or younger.
