I need your help

I booked my April Disney vacation today, but need to purchase airline tickets. I have found them for $800 roundtrip for 2 adults and 2 kids through AirTran from dfw to mco. Anybody know anything about this price or airline? I don%26#39;t know anything about what sounds reasonable or not. I want to purchase them now if it sounds like a good deal, but need some advise. Also I need information on good character dinings. Our girls are 8 and 4, but one will turn 5 during our trip so we want to do at least 2 or 3 really good ones. Mainly princess, mickey, and minnie ones I think. My husband will also be celebrating his birthday there so any good advise on memorable birthday experiences for him and her would be great.

Hi there!

I can%26#39;t comment on the airline or the prices from DFW, but $200 per person sounds reasonable. I pay about the same from Philadelphia. You might wait and get a better deal, then again, you might wait and end up paying more...it%26#39;s a guessing game!

As for the character dining, we really enjoy the Cape May Cafe character breakfast at the Beach Club. They have Minnie, Goofy, Chip %26amp; Dale dressed up in swimsuits/beach attire. My son is 6 and daughter is 15, so we don%26#39;t do the princess ones.

Also, if your daughter%26#39;s birthday will be while you are there, be sure to take her birth certificate and let Disney know and she will receive something special on her day. Your husband can show is driver%26#39;s license as proof of his bday. They will each get a pin to wear, along with either free admission to the park or something else if you have passes. You can have them receive a Happy Birthday phone call from Mickey as well.

Another suggestion, if budget allows, is to order a special gift to be delivered to the room. Check out www.disneyflorist.com for some great gift baskets. On our last trip in October, I sent my kids each one of the ';Mickey%26#39;s Kool Snack'; sets and whenever any one in the family uses the lunch bag, it reminds us of our trip.

Airtran is good, have flown with them many times and the Price is good, I wouldn%26#39;t wait too long on that

Book the air, ASAP! You will not find a better price!

For your daughters; book Cinderella%26#39;s Royal Table for breakfast or lunch. Also book Akershus for breakfast. They are wonderful Princess meals.

For your husband; book Donald%26#39;s Safari breakfast at Animal Kingdom or Chef Mickey at the Contemp. resort.

Have a wonderful celebration trip!

are you on the Dining plan? In any case, for your husband%26#39;s birthday I wouldn%26#39;t rec a character meal. I%26#39;d rec a nice resort restaurant. Citricos is nice at the GF. Why not one where you can see the fireworks (time your reservation accordingly if you can), if not hang around at the bar after etc. Narcoosee%26#39;s and the California grill are good for this. Menus are available at the link above.

As far as Character meals, I have heard the one at Cape May has some of the best food if that is of any help or interest.

That sounds like a good price. I paid that from JFK to MCO. They have come down a bit here and there but not by much. I have been checking fares and it seems since Christmas some fares are down. I am not sure when they will go up, so I would book now.

Don%26#39;t they let you in free if it is your birthday? I think I read something about that on here.

Di

PS my birthday is in August so no chance of that freebie for me!

Free on your Birthday, yes

I posted the Link in my reply last night :)

I don%26#39;t know where you are in OK, but we got tickets from delta for 250 a person. Going in May. We also seen that price from Dallas, but we would have to drive about 4 hours to Dallas. I think I seen some good prices out of OK city too. We are closer to Tulsa. We grabbed at that price because I have been watching for a long time and from Tulsa it has been being around 400.

Partypa - in the words of Homer Simpson DOH!

Sorry about that;-)
