hotel search

Planning a trip to the Keys, never been there. Where do you recommend we stay? Not too expensive. Won%26#39;t be having a car.

If you won%26#39;t have a car, the only key I%26#39;d suggest is the Old Town area of Key West because it is very walkable. As far as where to stay in KW, it would help if you gave a time period and price point along with desired amenities, there are lots and lots of options.

The Keys are over 120 miles long. Which Key or Keys are you looking at? Its difficult to suggest something without knowing your budget, likes, dislikes, time of year etc...

Start with this link about Key West and maybe it will help.

This link will better help describe the Keys.

yes, can you be more more specific?

There are resorts all up and down the Keys that have lots to do right there, if you never want to leave the property.

But for most places in the Upper and Middle Keys you usually will need a car, as getting around, like to the stores, restaurants, or to the local dive boats, will require a drive.

In Old Town Key West you won%26#39;t really need a car. If you are staying outside of Old Town a car might help, even though you%26#39;ll have a hard time finding parking near Duval.

I am pretty flexible as to when we will be going, could go in Feb, March or April(early). Not sure where to stay, unsure as what is all there to do. Enjoy beaches, sightseeing, eating. Does this help? As far as price, nothing too expensive, like $300/night.

Since you%26#39;re still ';planning a trip to the Keys';, I would suggest logging on to Amazon.com and ordering a couple of books and start researching. June Keith%26#39;s ';Key West and the Florida Keys'; is a good start. And BTW - the Keys and Key West are not known as a great beach destination.
