In US terms about 3 hours 45 mins

i have put it out like that because normally the US measure in time and not miles.

How far to Miami

Hi came back from Orlando in November and we drove to Miami in three and a half hours non stop on the toll road.It cost about 18 dollars and it was a straight run.We did the boat tour around the rich and famous houses and also had a walk around south beach and the art deco area and also found the famous tattoo shop Miami Ink

Is it worth the drive? As 2 over 50%26#39;s we want to see all kinds of different things, not only the parks. Anyone got any other ideas to keep us enternained? Oh! and are any of the dinner shows worth seeing. i.e. pirates etc.

Definitely not Pirates- it is pretty much universally agreed to be the worst dinner show in town and a completet waste of time and money- horrible food, bad show and employees constantly demanding tips.

Silver springs is very nice ,Daytona,The Space Centre,we love Clearwater too ,the list is endless.

With Miami imo you need to book an over nightnight otherwise your up at the crack of dawn to drive there and then you face the same journey back ,you could combine it with a trip to the keys if you have the days in your holiday free.

Florida is do diverse that you will need to visit it many times to enjoy it all the gulf beaches are fantastic shelling is a great way to spend a day ,I would get a map WH Smiths sit down and plan before you go other wise you can end up chasing your tails .

Annie IMO it is only worth it if you are going to stay 3-4 days. It is a 4 hour drive, longer if you hit traffic each way so you will spend 8 hours driving. The drive is boring as it is mostly down an interstate.

There are plenty of things to do in and around Orlando besides theme parks. If you are looking for a nice beach you can hit somewhere on the west coast like Sarasota which is just under a two hour drive or cocoa beach which is about 1 to 1 1/2 hours in the other direction.

Many people love Miami, but I only love it if we%26#39;re going there to board a cruise ship. ;)

I like Miami, a lot. But it is not Day trip territory, it is a night time and staying territory. $ hours driving to 4.5 depending on wher eyou are going.

Try Sarasota. A city, but more picturesque and closer for day trips than Miami. 2.5 hours as opposed to 4.

Try St Augustine, the oldest city in America. History on the small and quaint side, and only a couple of hours away.
