The Caroline- Ocean Beach Hotels

Have been reading the recent fantastic reviews for this place.

However, I am a little worried by the fact that all the reviewers seem to be first time posters who also use similar phraseology. Naturally makes me wonder about the authenticity of these reviews.

Has anyone actually stayed there who can give me some first hand feedback or genuinely recommend any other similar hotels?

Wife and I ( mid 50%26#39;s) have been visiting the area for 10 years. We have stayed in ';Resorts'; that are dumps, treated rude by owners/ front desk clerks, hate the filth and bugs, and ';could careless attitude,'; along with the hidden parking fees, phone feees, safe fees, etc.etc., by many places. The Manta Ray was fine but a little more expensive. These two are nice, appx 15 rooms, that suit our needs. You see many reviews that are simialr because it is rare to experience this in the area. I am the Alabama Traveler and was there in in Nov 08.

We stayed at The Caroline in Nov of 2008 and WOULD recommend it. I have stayed other places in area in the past that I would NOT consider recommending.
