Hi ,
There will be 6 of us traveling to Orlando in November
all adults .
When we have been to Orlando before , just the 4 of us
we have booked a 7 seater mini van with Dollar , -no problem .
This time we have booked a 8 seater Ford econoline van
with room for 8 suite cases .
Can anyone please give any advice to my Hubby , if you have ever driven one ? .
Also can anyone suggest an alternative option ?
Regards Tilly T
Advice on car hire , please
hello,i rented one last year,no problem,easy to drive,just like a car
Advice on car hire , please
Im the other way I hated it ,love the 7 seaters hated the larger 8 seaters and i drove Artics for most of my life.
Parking ,driving ,comfort all crap imo .
Why not get the Voyager your get six in that, lay the 7th seat down for more room for luggage which is only on the way in and the way out so not a problem even if you put it on laps ,cheaper to run and much more comfortable imo.
I drove one a couple of years ago. It made the A-Team van look like a PT Cruiser lol! It seated 7 in comfort and swallowed up more luggage than we could throw at it, even on the way home, but it didn%26#39;t drive particularly great. Don%26#39;t get me wrong, it was easy enough, despite the leviathon bulk, but there are better mini-vans to drive, such as chrysler grand voyager/town and country, and dodge grand caravan.
The most annoying thing was the instability at highway speeds. I likened it to driving a barge with huge, peterbuilt-esque wing mirrors! The suspension felt like it was mounted on 4 huge vats of treacle, which made it wallow around in an unpredictable manner imho.
Hi ,
Many thanks for all the info .
Hubby grateful . (still not sure) Men!!!
I agree with Nemmis, get the Voyager.
