We have decided that this Summer we%26#39;re going to Orlando to do the theme parks.
There will be 4 adults and 2 children (7 + 10)
We plan to stay for 14 days.
We were considering staying in a villa and hiring a car.
Would this be the best option? What is a good location to rent in?
Also I have heard that there are some tickets that can be bought in advance that allow entry to the parks. I have looked on undercovertourist and the tickets only seem to be for individual parks. Is there a ticket that I can get that allows me access to Disney, Universal, Sea World and the water park?
Need help with planning pleaseRenting a villa would be the cheapest option for the 6 of you. We%26#39;ve always used www.holiday-rentals.co.uk and have booked a villa in the Highland reserve, Orlando for Oct09 (4 bedrooms at 拢500 for the week). Hiring a car would be essential with a villa as you will have to drive to the various parks.
For Disney you%26#39;ll probably want the 7 or 14 day Ultimate ticket which gives you access to the 4 main Disney Parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom plus their 2 waterparks Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.
The Orlando Flexticket gives you access to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Seaworld, Wet n Wild and Aquatica (both waterparks).
You can buy these online at various places such as undercovertourist.com and www.orlandoflexticket.co.uk etc.
Happy planning and have a great time!!
Need help with planning pleaseI agree that a villa and rental car is the best way for you to go with 6 people.
Might want to check out Windsor Hills as this is usually highly recommended for villas.
No, there%26#39;s no one ticket that will cover all theme parks in Orlando, since they are different companies.
The Orlando Flexticket will cover Universal, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, and Wet %26amp; Wild water park (can%26#39;t remember if you can get Aquatica water park on this one or not).
Disney tickets must be bought separately, but in the U.K., you can get that 14-day Disney Ultimate ticket that gives you unlimited access to all things Disney, which is a great bargain if staying that long.
Thanks guys, i%26#39;ll take a look at those websites, good place to start.
One other option to renting a private pool home is to stay in a 3 bed condo. Some of these are very near to the parks, and are walking distance to things for the evenings. We have done both this option and the private home option. As a family of five we have found this the cheapest and most fun way to holiday in this area.
As well as Windsor hills, there are other options a bit cheaper. Let us know what is important to you- just a great house, or do you want a gated community with resort facilities?
here is a map of villa communities to give you an idea.
also more websites offering rentals are
vrbo, homeaway.com, villas2000
the condos i mentionned can be rented via hotle websites like travelzoo and hotelkingdom as well as via timeshare sites like redweek. Look for names like Vista Cay (near Universal) or cypress Pointe near to Downtown Disney.
would have been nice if I%26#39;d added the link lol

Hi
Not sure if you already know this but from 12 January 2009 the green form I94 visa waiver form has been replaced by an online version which needs to be completed if you are off to the USA
Here is the direct link to the form which is free by the way.

Hope this is of help

A guy at work says it is cheaper to buy the park tickets out in FL from the touts and that way i%26#39;ll be able to get Disney/Universal combos.
Is this true?
That sounds like a timeshare scam to me; wouldn%26#39;t recommend it.
Go with legit ticket brokers who don%26#39;t require you to spend a day looking at timeshares you don%26#39;t want anyway.
