La Brisa Condos?

What can anyone tell me about this place? I got what I think is a good price for a week in March. Just wondering how it is for a family with some teens. Any insight would be appreciated on that area and the condo. Thanks

La Brisa Condos?

Also sorry how does this compare with the Hyatt Windward Point Resort as I can get a place there for just a little more for a week.

La Brisa Condos?

I think it will fit your needs. Our vacation group (3 adult couples 40%26#39;s) has stayed at La Brisa the last 2 out of 3 trip to the Keys. It%26#39;s right across the street from Smather%26#39;s Beach. Smather%26#39;s has parasailing, kayaking, sailing, palm trees and sand. There%26#39;s also a couple of vending trucks that serve frozen lemonade and light lunch stuff. La Brisa has tennis courts, a heated pool and a hot tub that will hold about 6 people comfortably. It is a good walk from Duval Street, about 30 -40 minutes. You can cut time with bikes, scooters, or a car. It%26#39;s also a ways away from the grocery stores on N. Roosevelt. There is a small local grocery and Amy%26#39;s Liquior store on Bertha nearby but better prices over on N. Roosevelt. Have a great time, can%26#39;t give you any advice about the Hyatt.

Ok, thanks for the info. We are still looking at different condos and houses in Key West and the middle to lower keys.

Have you looked into staying in Old Town in Key West? There are advantages to being able to walk to the tourist spots and bike to the beach at Fort Zach, and not having to deal with a car and parking. I don%26#39;t know that much about La Brisa, but you can either rent from an owner, or through a rental company. I think the units will differ, so make sure you know what you are renting.

Just returned from Key West and stayed in unit 103- Tropical Breeze-at La Brisa. The grounds and buildings are very nice but I would recommend you NOT stay in this unit. It is very worn, dirty and dated. Based on pictures I have seen of other units, this was sub-par to others. I don%26#39;t think it has been painted in years, cable and other wires ran around the base board and up and over door frames rather then fished thru walls and then duck taped down over thresholds. Furniture and carpet was dirty and dingy-cabinet laminate peeling,,,and we got stuck paying $2800 for New Year week-our fault as this was one of the last places we could find available-we should have known it would be the worst. Rental agency was really bad-At Home in Key West. Not customer friendly-our check-in was met with us listening to the receptionist yelling at another customer over the phone that check-in would not be considered before 4 and then without even greeting us she said ';You better not be here to check-in now -it is not 4 yet';. Water was out at condo because a main broke during our stay. When we phoned them they basically said too bad and offered no compensation-or move to another location. They also lied about the condition of the condo-it was really bad and they made it sound wonderful. They obviously don%26#39;t assure their properties are maintained.

We bought at Windward Pointe a few years ago, and have never regretted it. You can%26#39;t beat the facilities, but the units are all 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed, and a fold-out in the living area. It is a poor choice when there are too many people who do not like to share beds. When I%26#39;ve driven by La Brisa, it looks like you can get units that are good or bad depending on the location within the complex and depending on the owner. If it were me, and the beds were not an issue, I%26#39;d go with Hyatt, but I would look at La Brisa for the next trip so that you can make an informed decision.

I gather that you%26#39;ll be renting a car. I think you%26#39;ll need it at both places for better access to everything.
