Dinner Reservations

I am planning (yes, super early) our Christmas trip to Orlando.

I noticed that a lot of past posts on Christmas dinner reservations noted that even as far back to April that most restaurants would be booked.

When should I book Christmas dinner reservations then? Now? And how would I go about doing so? Do I just call up the establishment?

We will be there for Christmas Eve as well as Christmas Day and a few days afterwards. For Christmas Eve, I was thinking we%26#39;d be at Epcot and for Christmas Day we will probably be in the Universal area. Any recommendations for which restaurants I should book?

Dinner Reservations

If you are referring to booking Disney restaurants for Xmas, you can now only book 90 days out or 90 days + 10 if you are a Disney resort guest. You call the Disney dining line: (407) WDW-DINE.

As for other restarants outside Disney, they will all have their own rules for when you can book for the actual holiday days. Remember, some place don%26#39;t open on holidays.

I would recommend you do it right on the 90th day. Remember this is the busiest time at Disney and place fill up quickly. Place like Chef Mickeys, Cinderall%26#39;s Royale Table. I would recommend Chef Mickey%26#39;s (esp if you have kids, tons of fun) Ohan at the Polynesian has an awesome character breakfast, in fact I am trying to book now for my March trip, they%26#39;re full. Coral Reef at Epcot is great and the 50%26#39;s Prime Time Diner is a lot of fun in Hollywood Studios, as is the Sci Fi Dine in. You can browse menus on the internet to help you better decided what works best. Will you be doing the dining plan? I would highly recommend that. Esp if you plan to do many table service meals. Have fun planning!!!

Actually, we are two kids in our late 20%26#39;s :P So no character dining for us.

I am planning on booking Fulton%26#39;s Crab House for Christmas Eve and then some other place for Christmas Day... I noticed that there hasn%26#39;t been many changes to the restaurants available at CityWalk, which is a big disappointment. We will be staying on I-Drive... any good restaurants or hotel restaurants? I read only about Peabody and Gaylord Palms... do they allow people that are not residing in their establishment to eat at their restaurants?

Yes, you can dine at other hotels even if you aren%26#39;t guests. Of course, I-Drive has standard fare like Pizza hut, Fridays, Bennigans. We ate at a place off I-4 called Jungle Jims I think or something like that. Young crowd, lots of fun, 100%26#39;s of different hamburgers. I heard the crab house is great!!! Do you like Rainforest Cafe? That%26#39;s at DT Disney, good food and I think you can reserve in advance.
