Caribbean Beach or Wilderness Lodge?

Planning a trip to WDW in late February with two children, ages 6 %26amp; 4. We%26#39;ve narrowed our choices on resorts to either Caribbean Beach or Wilderness Lodge. As this will be our first time to visit, we are unsure which resort would suit our needs the best.

Although the Wilderness Lodge is more expensive, it appears to be more ';compact';. One of our concerns with the CBR is how spread out it is.

Our main criteria for the resort are ease of transport to/from the parks, and the pool.

This is a hard one

The New Pool at Caribbean Beach is Great, that alone would be reason enough to stay there if the kids are really into swim time :) It is a Large Resort but walking from one spot to the next really isn%26#39;t that far. Because it is spread out, it feels less crowded. It%26#39;s tropical and fun. They have new Nemo and Pirate Themed rooms, that%26#39;s a bonus if important to you and the kids

Now, Wilderness Lodge is Wonderful, one of my favourites. It is just a Boat ride away to the Magic kingdom, that%26#39;s a nice perk. The Pool is good, the kids play area is fun and the Beach is Lovely. If the budget allows, I%26#39;d go for it.

Caribbean Beach or Wilderness Lodge?

We stayed at CBR back in 2000 and had a wonderful experience. Everyone was really friendly. The room was very clean and nice. There was a really neat pool area, shopping and dining places, and some sort of nature bird walk. Everything really isn%26#39;t that far spread out.

Both have pros and cons. The Lodge is more upscale, not just in price but in atmosphere. I also really like the Wilderness Lodge. My kids didn%26#39;t like it as much as some of the other resorts.

It can still be chilly in February, so you may want to consider that if your thinging about the pool. The Caribbean Beach resort can have a huge amount of people staying. The buses can be crowded. But it is also a fun choice for your stay.

Without a doubt I%26#39;d go with the Wilderness!

Have stayed at both and, while I wouldn%26#39;t pooh-pooh the CBR I%26#39;d choose the Wilderness Lodge. I just like the feel and a balcony is always nice.
