First time to Orlando- need advice

We are planning a 3 week holiday in July/August 2010. We are planning to rent a villa but don%26#39;t really know what area to go for as they all seem to be within %26#39;minutes%26#39; of Disney parks! We have had a few quotes and they vary from 拢1050 to 拢2950 and obviously don%26#39;t know what%26#39;s a good base price. Any advice greatfully received!

Prices vary so i will quote the deal we have for 2009

3 weeks 5 bed villa pool with heat included, spa with heat included ,free uk phone calls to land lines, free wfi, 拢1695 including all taxes, were only 4 adults and 1 child (atm) but like room to stretch out and watch different TV,late at night.

Its a gated community 3 miles to Disney and 10 min walk to shops and eats.

My advice is if you have children then go gated ,the most expensive and closest to Disney is Formosa gardens Gated, then around that area are loads of others Rolling hills non gated, tera verda gated, Emerald isle gated,(thats where were staying),Windsor palms gated ,and loads more within a 10 mile area Google will throw them all up .These mentioned are all within 4 miles to Disney some less but no more.

Thanks for that, all sounds great and I%26#39;m so excited already, shame I have to wait so long. It%26#39;s all a bit mind blowing with the amount of villas and different areas.

Will this map help?

Hi

Here is another villa map. A lot to choose from

www.onlinefloridavillas.com/Map.aspx

The majority of accomodation is first class but as you have identified everyone claims their property is close to Disney. I%26#39;d definately recommend having a map available when deciding where you are going to choose to stay. Remember that the times to Disney will mainly refer to the ';Welcome to Disney'; arch that you will drive under. For the Magic Kingdom you can add anything from another 10 to 20 minutes to actually get to the park.

We are going back to a 4 bed villa in Indian Ridge in July for 拢900 for the two weeks, so the prices can vary. This area off of 192 is really a genuine 10 minutes to Disney. Having previously been advised, wrongly, that Southern Dunes was only 20 minutes it can make a big difference when trying to get home at night after a full day at the parks.
