Hello everyone, this may sound really crazy but I am traveling to Disney in March. I will be with my 2 girls, 10 and 7 and my father and his lady friend. I went ahead and made dining reservations for 2 locations. While I was making the reservations I learned you%26#39;re considered an adult at age 10. Normally this doesn%26#39;t pose a problem for people but for me it kind of does. My daughter will not eat hardly anything. It%26#39;s an ongoing problem. She won%26#39;t be ';allowed'; to order off the kids menu evidently or go to the kids buffet at these places to eat. So, am I allowed to pack something to take into the restaurants? It%26#39;s not really a matter of paying an adult menu price, it%26#39;s a matter of her not liking one thing on the menus. Now I do realize I could go to a place that doesn%26#39;t require reservations but with my dad and 2 kids I didn%26#39;t want to stand in long lines and then stand around to wait for a table at the busy times. We%26#39;re staying off property so I do have the capability of preparing a peanut butter sandwich or something else.....any help is appreciated.
Disney Dining...am I alllowed to.....Your daughter doesn%26#39;t Have to order a Meal at Non Buffet Restaurants, she can sit with you tho. I recomend that she eat something that you have brought with you before you all go in to eat or after you%26#39;re done
I will let you know that we travel with family that have special diets and always let the Cast Member know that we will need to talk to the Chef before we order. The Chefs are Great at all the Disney Table Service Restaurants and prepare Wonderful Meals for our Special Needs. At Buffet Restaurants she can eat anything she would like, as can everyone else, you aren%26#39;t limited to Adult Meals or Children Meals

Disney Dining...am I alllowed to.....Party pa, thanks for the info. The gal told me since she is 10 she can%26#39;t even go up to the buffet they have for the kids......is the cast member really going to know her age? She likes the things on the kids menu, it%26#39;s the adult menu she won%26#39;t care for.....
If you go to Non-Buffet places, she should be able to order off the kids menu, I%26#39;ve seen adults do it (not Disney-defined adults, but real adults.) In buffets, she%26#39;d be charged as an adult, but she%26#39;d be able to eat off the kids section (so can real adults, YUM mac %26amp; cheese!)
For Counter Service places, just order the kids meal. I do that too. No worries.
kat is right. I order kids meals all the time too, at counter service restaurants. Buffets may be the way to go, everyone can eat whatever they want, noone will stop you from taking anything that interests you on the Buffet
PS I do hope that your daughter is just going thru a faze and that she will soon enjoy more foods :)
I think maybe I should change my reservations to a buffet restaurant and not a sit down. I have reservations at the Liberty Tree Tavern and the 50%26#39;s prime time cafe. My daughter has been a challenge since day one! LOL! She only eats mac and cheese and chicken fingers and corn. She is unwilling to try new things. Very frustrating. Thanks so much for the help, the lady in reservations didn%26#39;t give me correct info at all....
Does anyone have favorite buffet places where can make a reservations in Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios? TKS
I could recomend Crystal Palace instead of Liberty Tree and Hollywood and Vine ( wouldn%26#39;t be my first choice but it is a Buffet )instead of 50%26#39;s Prime time
You could look into Cape May Cafe over at the Beach Club if you are interested in something for the day you are going to Hollywood Studios. It%26#39;s a great Buffet and you can take the Boat over for a bit of a relaxing few moments.
There are always options :)
Our Disney ';adult'; children, order from the kid%26#39;s menus, all the time. We have done this at Cindy%26#39;s Castle, Prime Time Cafe, Narcoosees, Brown Derby, Tony%26#39;s, Yak %26amp; Yeti, Grand Flo Cafe, %26amp; Coral Reef. We have never had a problem. Disney knows they are coming out ahaed, as we have paid for adult meals. They have also served a main course from the child%26#39;s menu and a dessert from the adult menu. They are always very accommodating!
All buffet lines are open to anyone dining; adult or child. We like 1900 Park Fare, Cape May Cafe, and Crystal Palace.
Don%26#39;t worry. Your daughter will have plenty to eat, at any restaurant you choose. Enjoy!
Sorry. I thought you were on the dining plan. They may not allow her to order from the child%26#39;s menu, if you are paying at each meal.
Have you considered the dining plan? It would solve your problem and allow everyone seated meals.
OK. I%26#39;ll stop giving unhelpful advise. Just saw that you are off-site and would not qualify for dining plan. Skip evrything I%26#39;ve said. Sorry again.
