Hi All
I would like to make sure I have the best seats on our flight to Orlando.
We are flying in a 777, so where would the best seats be?
As far forward as possible or midway or right at the back?
At the moment I have booked at the back so we are clear of the wings and close to the galley for feeding first.
What do you peeps think?

Best Seats on BA Flights
I like sitting towards the back as planes very rarely back into mountains lol.

Great advice that is one vote for the back

correct me if I am wrong, but I think the seats at the back get served last? the trolleys roll forwards and work their way back towards the galley.
further to the previous post, that is correct. When 747s have flown into mountains the only person left alive were attendants in the back tail section. But the Wing area has the best structural integrity, not always impt if there is an accident when the fuel tanks are full ;-)
I was midway on the way over and on the extra legroom row 15 on the way back - I think they feed the rows 15 first and go back from there. IF you are able to choose the seat early then have row 15 as there is more room and you are just behind the WTplus lot.
I chose my Virgin seats and have gone for the back seats at they are the only ones in sets of two.

Have a look at www.seatguru.com I think it is a 777-200 that BA use.

What a wonderful web site and your info was spot on, thank yuo very much.
We are staying at the back of the aircraft, in rows 37 and 38 avoiding row F which has restricted leg room.
I hope everyone uses this web site now and it is so informative

The way to get fed first Mick is either be a child, or like me, have a medical problem (high cholesterol) so I always order a low fat meal when booking, and sure enough, it comes first.
Hubby is always starving but has to wait his turn and watch me chomping away. There isn%26#39;t a choice of two, you get what you%26#39;re given, although its usually nice with chicken or fish, with veg and rice and a side salad. Instead of a pud, its usually fresh fruit salad. He could also order this way, but says he would miss out on his pud.
In my opinion, get an aisle seat as far forward as possible.
Most importantly, you will get off the plane quicker than if you were at the other end, and that means less time queuing at immigration. I almost literally RUN once I am off the plane (not easy with two kids!) to get as far ahead of everyone else as possible. There is nothing more dispiriting than arriving at immigration with 5-600 people ahead of you, after 2-3 flights land at the same time.
Also, and this may be a more personal thing, if I am sitting towards the back all I can see when I look ahead is a metal tube stuffed full with people - nothing quite like it to make you feel flying economy is not much better than a cattle truck. At least if you are further forward there are fewer people to see.
An aisle always allows more legroom - your flight will be over the ocean all the way, so no benefit from a window.
Safety I don%26#39;t think is an issue.
Some people say that the back of a plane like a 777 can have something of a whipsaw motion in turbulence as the aircraft pivots about its wings, but I don%26#39;t know if that%26#39;s true.
BA is a great airline (and so as not so start a war, so is Virgin). Wherever you sit, you%26#39;ll be fine.
Thanks for all the advice folks
Will have to chat to my better half.
I normally order meals without eggs or cheese so always get fed first.
:)
