Hi - we are 4 couples (50 ish + no kids with us) staying at the PO Riverside WDW in May.
Would Cinderella%26#39;s Royal table be suitable for an adults only group? We have no idea what to expect. Any suggestions for restaurants at WDW please?
Thanks for any advice.
Adults in WDW need restaurant advice please!!!I%26#39;m also an adult only trip. I picked Mama Melrose (Fantasmic package), Rose %26amp; Crown at Epcot and Yak %26amp; Yeti at Animal Kingdom.
I didn%26#39;t book any at Magic Kingdom.
Adults in WDW need restaurant advice please!!!The Cinderella%26#39;s Royal Table is a great character Meal but I can think of alot better places to enjoy an all adults meal
A few of my recomendations would be Jiko, Boma, Brown Derby, Mama Melrose%26#39;s, California Grill, Spoodles, Flying Fish, Big River Grill, Artist Point and Kona Cafe

Yes I was definitely thinking of Mama Melrose as the Fantasmic! show is supposed to be brilliant.
We are doing the Magic your Way dinner package and two table service exchanges are needed for some restaurants.
I know Cindy%26#39;s RT needs 2 table service exchanges so I am trying to be careful what to book.
First off I have only been to disney with kids. I have read trip reports of those traveling without kids and some of the places they eat sound so nice without kids. You will see plenty of magical moments in kids faces in the park, why not take a break from it.
Unless of course it was always a dream to eat in the castle.....then go for it.
If you do chose to do it, I recommend Dinner as opposed to breakfast or lunch for several reasons.
1%26gt; If you are celebrating an occasion, the Fairy Godmother will recognize it during her shtick. And she does a great shtick.
2%26gt; If you time it right you can see the fireworks from inside the castle (not clearly, but through the stained glass). Note that they do change fireworks times and you can%26#39;t always change your reservations to match, but its worth a shot.
3%26gt; Personally I found the dinner food to be better than breakfast. With that in mind, it wasn%26#39;t the best dinner in Disney, fairly average, so if food is your first concern, not worth the money. You are paying for the atmosphere and the pic with cinderella.
Will you be on a dining plan? For adults only I STRONGLY recommend it if you are not. Going with that in mind, here are some of my suggestions, assuming you are:
MK:
Crystal Palace if you want a character meal.
AK:
Yak and Yeti - excellently themed and good food.
HS:
I really don%26#39;t like anywhere at HS, but the Brown Derby is the best of the bunch. 2 credit meal though, I would eat somewhere else given the choice.
Epcot (Food Central)
LeCellier, Coral Reef, Restaurant Marakkesh (hidden gem in my book)
Resorts:
GF:
Victoria and Alberts - Not on the DDP (Platinum plan only), and expensive, but one of the few 5 star dining experiences on the East Coast. (Jacket and tie required for men, Dress or pantsuit for ladies).
Contemporary:
California Grill (2 credits). If you can get a table during fireworks.
AKL:
Boma or Jiko. Boma for buffet or if you are not sure you will like African spices, Jiko if you want a stellar sit down experience. Jiko is also 2 credits I think
Semi Edit - I just saw your follow up post that you are on the DDP, my advice still holds :)
I also had one more thought, if you are looking for something fun and a little less formal, the Whispering Canyon BBQ at Wilderness Lodge. Be sure to ask for the ketchup :)
Great info everyone - thanks.
Hi Loonbeam and thanks for your post - We are trying to weigh up whether the dining plan is worth it or not. We are staying for 7 nights in WDW however we want to see the Kennedy Space Center and Universal during this time so probably won%26#39;t be having dinner at WDW for 2 out of 7 days.
Guess we will substitute dinner for breakfast on these days and kiss goodbye the counter meals.
You could go off site where there is a much bigger choice and much cheaper in price.
Use your 2 extra seated meals, for the signature restaurants: Brown Derby, Narcoossee%26#39;s (our favorite) California Grill, Artist%26#39;s Point, Jiko, Flying Fish, etc. They are well worth the 2 points and tend to have few children.
The dining plan is well worth the price.
Enjoy every minute of your %26#39;adults only%26#39; trip!
I too also think if you are going off site for 2 days do some 2 credit dinners. They get great reviews. I don%26#39;t think it will be hard to use your counter service credit, since you can use them for breakfast or lunch.
